Myrkulverse D&D Campaign Log - Iron Kingdoms

Session 99: The Rise of Team Biscuit

Date: 24th to 29th of Rowan

In the Bag: 42,527GP, 8200 Bank Note, 1 Gold Bars 500 gp each, Gems worth 4200 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 810gp in Rayven’s pocket).

Team Biscuit began by paying the boatswain with their gold bars to repair their ship, The Herbicide, and install a harpoon ballista. With their ship ready for future adventures, they turned their focus to preparing for the main wrestling event. The team spent three grueling days at the Wriggle Worm, a renowned wrestling training gym, practicing their moves, building their strength, and honing their strategies in preparation for the big matches ahead.

The team watched the initial matches, featuring low-caliber wrestlers, to gauge the competition. These matches served as a warm-up for the main event. The first match was over in a flash, with Ike destroying the first opponent in just six seconds. The crowd went wild, and Team Biscuit started gaining attention. The second match was tougher. Nerion used an unconventional move to pin the face of an opposing team member with his crotch. The crowd was entertained, and Team Biscuit’s following grew. The third match was the most challenging so far. The opposing team showed some talent, but Team Biscuit emerged victorious, with Ike once again finishing the match.

Finally, it was time for the main event between Team Biscuit and their formidable opponents, Storm Surge. Team Biscuit consisted of Ike, Shadow, Storm Witch Nerion, Sinsear, and Rayven, while Storm Surge was made up of Seraphina Storm, Krag the Berserker, Tinker Tock, Phase, and Steel Johnson.

The match began with Ike delivering a double critical hit that knocked Phase senseless. Steel Johnson was tagged in but failed to land a hit. Shadow jumped in and paralyzed him, while Sinsear cast Gravitational Collapse on Seraphina. Ike then knocked out Steel Johnson. Rayven tagged in and used Shadow Stride to bring Nerion into the fray. Rayven pinned Steel Johnson, and Nerion blocked anyone from reaching him. Tinker Tock fired a grenade that separated Rayven and Steel Johnson. Rayven tagged in Shadow, who pinned Steel Johnson again. Rayven then Shadow Strided with Sinsear. Rayven attacked Krag the Berserker, and Sinsear took out Phase. Shadow successfully pinned Steel Johnson, securing Team Biscuit’s victory.

Team Biscuit emerged victorious in the main event, solidifying their status as the new crowd favorites and top contenders in the CCL (Champion Combat League). With their skills, teamwork, and growing fan base, they are poised for even greater challenges and glory in the world of professional wrestling. Victory is sweet, but the journey is far from over. The ring awaits, and new rivalries and adventures are on the horizon.

Session 100: The Weird Interlude

Date: 29th of Rowan to 1st of Solesh

In the Bag: 41,827GP (700 removed for info), 8200 Bank Note, 1 Gold Bars 500 gp each, Gems worth 4200 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 810gp in Rayven’s pocket).

After the match, there is some downtime. Rayven and Ike went a’beering. Shadow has cast a cantrip to make Ike all sparkly and glamorous. The group is flooded with autograph seekers due to their stellar performance.
Nerion rejoined the team after securing a bunch of biscuits. Where and how he got them is a mystery. He may be a closet pastry chef, we are unsure.
He passed out many a biscuit to the adoring fans, focusing on one in particular. More on that to come.

As the team is circulating, a patron named Diego approached them. He made an offer to Ike about our upcoming championship match. For a rather large sum of gold, he wants us to throw the match. The group decided to investigate him a little more thoroughly before accepting.

We decided that Shadow, Sinsear, and Ike would go and do a little digging into Diego to see if he could make good on what he promised. Meanwhile, Nerion took a quick hiatus to do some praying and Rayven, having made some googley eyes at one of the female fans, proceeded to leave the arena for a more “private” discussion.

Ike, Shadow, and Sin began to investigate Diego. From some of the fans and workers in the arena, they found out he’s a muckity muck with lots of cash. One patron sent us to seedy town to find an informant with more information. They ended up at a Mechanica store owned by a man named Klaver. He was bald with moustache, appeared extremely greasy, and had a prosthetic hand with a utility tool attached.
For 700 gold we received a dossier. He explained Diego, whose real name is Davon Foxworth is the leader of the Hidden Foxes. He is colluding with current champion to ensure the champion’s victories. He profits through betting and the sale of illicit narcotics. Past contestants who beat his champion were “dealt with”. He has scouts everywhere including the arena and has insiders in town guards. While it seems he travels alone, he supposedly has some sort of ninja bodyguards.

About this time…
Nerion has finished his prayers, which included finding Rayven’s location. He made his way back to the arena and caught up with the fan he was focusing on earlier. With promises of joining our team as Biscuit Boy, he cajoled the roley poley gentleman into performing a deed designed to cement his place on our team.

Nerion contacted the rest of the group, with the exception of Rayven, and designated a meeting place. It turned out to be outside the room where Rayven was enjoying his female company. With a nod to our knew ally, Nerion’s true intention is revealed. He pointed to Rayven’s door and yelled, “GO BISCUIT BOY!”
At this command, Biscuit Boy broke down the door and…

When it was all over, there was some laughing, some crying, and not a small amount of bewilderment at why Nerion does these things.

Session 101: The Weird Interlude

Date: 2nd of Solesh (after midnight)

In the Bag: 42,327GP (700 removed for info), 8200 Bank Note, 1 Gold Bars 500 gp each, Gems worth 4200 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 810gp in Rayven’s pocket).

Note Taking Order:

  • Whosdad
  • Ike
  • Nerion
  • Ray
  • Sinsear

We approach a gaudy establishment owned by Davon where two burly gentlemen stand guard outside. They question our approach and we say we are expected and are Team Biscuit. Upon gaining entry the inside is loud and smells like a bar. Nerion tries to hijack the kitchen to make more biscuits but is turned away. Instead, an order is placed for more biscuits.

Sinsear pulls a level using his powers at the barand this scene, in the bar, ensues. But it’s Davon singing.

But in reality, its an alarm system. The barkeep notices Sinsears second attempt and tells him to stop. He then activates his item to sense any Psychic abilities in the area

We are led into a room. There are creatures with a bunch of arms that Sinsear notices are Psychic. We begin the meeting with Davon and propose an alternate plan where he works for us. Upon being asked for proof, Sinsear gives him the montage of shit we have/have done/have do.

He’s intrigued but wary. Ike and one of his hands decide to have a friendly duel.

explosion konosuba GIF by Ziyang Yip

Ike then proceeds to cast the monk equivalent of Explosion by Megumin.

Sinsear witnesses 3 psychic powers from the fight

Ray wins a bet made for 500 g ( a platinum bar)

We bet 40,000 on ourselves to win (60% win)

Ray decides to go to a whore house, Ike goes and takes a nap, Nerion finds a young boy to take to a room, Shadow with Sinsear goes to the bar and listens for what can be listened to. (rolled a 33 total for rumours and leads)

Session 102: The Main Event

Date: 3rd of Solesh

In the Bag: 27GP (40,000 bet on the match), 8200 Bank Note, Gems worth 4000 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

Shadow comes back with the results of his eavesdropping at the bar: Sailors surviving capsized ships, being called cowards and liars when describing a giant troll wrecking their ships and barely escaping with their lives. Lots of exotic women working at the brothels recently (potentially unhappily?). One mention of a guy with 4 heads, 4 legs, and 8 arms walking around town that disappeared when approached.

In the morning, Nerion peruses the weapon shops and finds a blacksmith willing to work on his gear. He spends our last 4000 gold (including Ray’s pocket change) on upgrades for his weapon and armor, bribing the smith with biscuits for a discount and a rush order.

The night kicks off with some decent matches. The team “House of Black” cuts a particularly impressive performance in the 3v3 match. When the time for the 5v5 comes, The party enters the arena. Biscuit Boy is a terrible hype man, but the team bands together to defend him from the crow’s improvised projectiles. Escape the Ape enters the stage. They seem to be the crowd favorite. Gordon Gorilla, makes a flashy entrance with his enormous hammer.

Inferno Blaze casts polymorph on Gordon, turning him into a giant golden ape. The other members cast other buffs on him (they’re using a funneling strategy like absolute scrubs). The party casts their own buffs (Sinsear gets particularly shiny). Ike starts out with a flurry, stunning Gordon in the process. Aurora Starfire jumps on the ropes to cast a heal on Gordon. Ray Summons Goerge who attacks Inferno, attempting to break her concentration, but she maintains. Nerion attempts to break her concentration as well but she holds through that as well. Voidwalker Meeks attempts to stun Ike but those are his domain and the spell has no effect. Sinsear gets even shinier.

Ike attempts to stun Gordon again but he instead starts to wake from his stupor. So he turns his attention to Inferno Blaze swinging over the ropes and delivering a kick with a deadpan “Boot to the Head”, breaking her concentration. Gordon returns to his natural form. Ike then finishes his combo by reaching down over the ropes with his staff. Sincere grabs ahold and is launched down toward Gordon with an explosive impact. Sinsear follows with a barrage of Steel enhanced strikes. However, after the attack Gordon wakes, Inferno recasts polymorph and Gordon rages. He then batters Sinsear though his metal body absorbs much of the impact and he manages to deflect one strike.

Shadow attempts to cast reality break on inferno but she counterspells, he responds with his own counterspell but Frostbite Valkyrie finishes the exchange with hers. Goerge then tackles Inferno, picks her up, and flys over to the team. Ike turns around and clocks her in the face, breaking her concentration and returning Gordon once again to normal. He then dashes along the ropes over to Frostbite and lands two strikes but fails to break her concentration. Sinsear, still on the ground, summons glowing orbs to further protect himself. Inferno slips out of Goerge’s grip and runs from the group, taking attacks from Ray, Goerge, and Ike. In retaliation, Gordon picks Sinsear up and carries him over to their side. Nerion prepares himself to take the role of the hero once again. What will his game changing move be?

Session 103: The Main Event Pt 2

Date: 3rd of Solesh

In the Bag: 27GP (40,000 bet on the match), 8200 Bank Note, Gems worth 4000 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

Fight continues, Sinsear slips away and Nerion pummels Blaze ferociously.

Ray is tagged in and shadow strides while backstabbing and pulling Nerion into the shadow realm and into the fight.

Nerion bleeds Blaze of the rest of her life, knocking her out.

Ike does not like the auras and feels they are a negative presence!

Ray brings Gorilla to critical condition with his vicious attacks

Frost bitch Valk tagged in and does a combo move from hell…Nerion gets hit by an insane amount of stupid damage and is knocked out. Bullshit.

Sinsear re-knocks out Blaze

Ike then pulls Nerion out and tags himself in.

Ray is knocked out by his own weapon… har har.

Ike punches Blaze and knocks her out AGAIN.

Whosdad is tagged in and they give Starfire the WiGglLY WanD.

Starfire dragged out of the arena by Ike.

After the events of Noiren transpire the party will level to 18 at their next long rest.

Session 104: The Main Event Pt 2

Date: 3rd of Solesh

In the Bag: 27GP (40,000 bet on the match), 8200 Bank Note, Gems worth 4000 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

The session began with Team Biscuit claiming victory and the championship belts. As the trophy was about to be awarded, a disturbing turn of events unfolded. A mysterious fan, known for his awkward demeanor, attacked Biscuit Boy, fatally wounding him. The fan then targeted Whosdad, but Rayven intervened, taking the hit and saving Whosdad’s life. Unfortunately, Rayven was knocked unconscious.

The fan revealed himself to be a monstrous creature with eight arms and four heads, calling himself Noiren. It was discovered that Noiren was composed of the bodies of Rayven, Sinsear, Nerion, and Whosdad. In the midst of the chaos, Ike tossed a potion to Rayven and Whosdad before retreating. Noiren unleashed powerful fireballs, causing widespread damage. Whosdad attempted to contain Noiren with a force cage, but the creature escaped and knocked out Rayven. George, seeing his master in danger, rescued Ike and flew them to safety, denying Noiren access to the treasure. As Noiren watched Ike escape, a look of longing crossed its face before it vanished from the arena, leaving the remaining survivors stunned and bewildered.

Session 105

Date: 3rd of Solesh

In the Bag: 27GP + bet winnings, 8200 Bank Note, Gems worth 4000 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

The Amalgamation burrows into the ground and follows Ike. Ike keeps running from the Amalgamation while Sinsear potions up the party. Our former rival Aurora casts a Cure Mass Wounds to get everyone a bit of healing.
Shadow creates a magical mansion near the docks after Noiren threatens our boat. Ike circles back to the mansion.
Nerion proposes we meet Noiren in the morning, Noiren agrees to the following evening instead. It is discussed, but no agreement seems to be reached. The group takes time to rest in the mansion and grows stronger.
Ike suceeds in a prayer to Myrkul that hides him from the Dragonfather’s scrying. Potions are passed out to the group from Ike’s bag. Rayven is gifted the Cloak of Displacement from Ike.
We take a little time to collect our winnings and talk to Davon. Oddly, Nerion acts like a pregnant woman, then goes to the slums to recruit homeless people for some scheme. He gathers up his victims and sacrifices them for some buffs and souls. The evening of the meeting arrives, our buffs are buffed, and we depart the mansion to face Noiren.
Ike leads, with the rest of us following invisibly. There is a portal waiting for us on the docks with Noiren’s voice coming from inside. Ike attempts cajoling on Noiren to be friends but Noiren is having none of it. As Noiren steps from the portal, Shadow tries to dispell it. And that provokes fighting time.
Noiren attacks Ike several times hitting him once with a shield bash, but missing his attempts to grapple.
Rayven drops an Umbra Bog
Wodahs casts a Forcecage on the party and envelops Nerion, Sinsear, and Rayven.
Ike swings at the Amalgamation, but those are feints that intentionally miss. He follows up with his super mojo punch, but fails to stun. However, the stink palm has been applied.
Nevyar uses Black Caress and hit Rayven.
Sinsear attempts to leave the cage but fails.
Nerion figures a way to port through and brings Sinsear with him. As he does this, he strikes at Noiren but it’s shielded.
Raesnis casts a Disintigrate on Rayven and melts off little bits of what flesh he has left.
Our ship, decides… cannons, and shoots them at the Amalgamation hitting it once.
Shadow casts his own Disintigrate and destroys the Forcecage.

Init order (I think): Shadow, Noiren, Ray, Wod, Ike, Nevyar, Sin, Nerion, Raesnis, ship

Session 106

Date: 3rd of Solesh

In the Bag: 27GP + bet winnings, 8200 Bank Note, Gems worth 4000 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

The fight begins where it was left off, after Shadow had used disintegrate to break the Force Cage. We debate whether or not to activate Nerions SUPER SECRET ABILITY but decide to wait and see. Ike uses his staff to make Noiren vulnerable to Necrotic Damage. Sinsear heals and buffs Rayven. Nerion then casts a 5th-level Bleed using the chair.

This hits Noiren for an insane amount of damage, shattering and killing him.

After a bunch of idiotic guesses, Shadow makes an Arcana check to deduce that the thing we fought was a Simulacrum, and not the real body.

We then start sorting through the loot, all of it all our stuff except for a ring, that Shadow casts Identify on, to see it has Abjuration magic that opens a portal and teleports people to known infernal locations safely.

Shadow goes back to try and remember what his wand did.

Nerion goes to rebind to the book.

Sinsear stands at the front of the boat and holds forth a lofty object.

We have 40k gold.

He then puts 40k on red and loses.

We are down a total of 20k gold.

Ike and Nerion head to a machine shop, Shadow and Sinsear head to an apothecary.

Session 106

Date: 3rd of Solesh

In the Bag: 70,977, 8200 Bank Note, Gems worth 4000 gp, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

Session 107

Date: 3rd of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 56,777, 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

The session begins with Shadow and Sinsear at Sabeth’s Tinctures and Remedies, a potion shop filled with magical ingredients. They inquire about strain relief potions, but after some discussion about headaches, they realize they’re actually looking for Crystals of Rejuvenation. Sinsear purchases all seven crystals in stock. Before finalizing the deal, Sinsear, guided by Myrkul, presents his recently recovered Bloodwell Vial. Sabeth inspects it and offers to modify it for Sinsear’s psionic abilities for a fee of 45,000 gold. The process requires rare ingredients, including diamond dust, pure arcanum, and ruby dust. To offset the cost, Sinsear and Shadow decide to contribute some of these ingredients. With gems from their bag, they reduce the price by 5,000 gold, and Shadow’s magic crystallization ability brings the total down further to 36,000.

Meanwhile, Ike brings the plant creature from Nerion to Shadow, who constructs a cell for it within his Magnificent Penitentiary. After recovering from the alien creature bursting from his chest, Nerion reads new pages in the Tome from its time with Noiren.

The Tome transports Nerion into the memories of the undead Noiren. He relives Noiren’s early, foggy days as a barely sentient thrall under a necromancer on the island of Garlghast, gaining a measure of lucidity, attempting to reach out to Myrkul, and being rejected. During this time, Noiren witnesses members of the Bitter Sacrifice using an infernal portal to travel to and from the necromancer’s facility. Eventually, the necromancer’s control wanes and Noiren breaks free, killing his former master. This act catches the attention of the Dragonfather, who promises direction and offers Noiren a chance to resurrect other fallen members of the group—though Ike is missing. In control of his own will, Noiren continues to interact with the Bitter Sacrifice and begins scrying on the living party members, witnessing their journeys leading up to the ambush at the Iron Fist. He decides not to be on the island when the party arrives, opting instead to leave a message. However, the Cryxian forces and infernal gateway used by the Bitter Sacrifice will remain in place. Additionally, Cryx appears to be amassing forces to attack another nation, pending an unknown trigger.

On the island, Ike studies the remains of the Force of Blood to create new items. He learns that he can use the essence to craft a potion that grants thorny protection (1d8 damage for an hour), apply the property to a thrall, or give the thrall a blood-forged weapon.

In the following days, Ike retrieves his staff with the newly added life-leach necromechanica, while Nerion collects his Fleet Armor.

The party regroups at the apothecary, where Sinsear donates his blood for the ritual to enhance the Bloodwell Vial. The vial turns purple and white, now infused with a +3 power boost. With their new supplies and upgrades, the party returns to their ship and prepares to set sail.

Session 108

Date: 5th of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 56,777, 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

We prepare to set sail. We meet back at the ship to plan the next steps, asking the captain about the different ways to Garlghast. It is a straight shot at 18 days.

We decide to notify the king with a message…

Cryx plans to invade a nation probably by sea.
They are in league with the Bitter Sacrifice.
Trying to find more info. Be ready.

King asks if credible and if we can help.

Contact us and we can come help quickly.
Absolutely credible info.
Trying to determine which nation they are invading.

We look back on our journey to consider the next step….

Swallow Strangle and new Lt on their side with petal at the head….

There are three remaining lieutenants of the Bitter Sacrifice. Swallow, Strangle, and the new one that was appointed at the meeting. There is also Petal.

As for Cryx, the Dragon Father and 9 Liches… Noiren might have upset the balance by becoming a CHOSEN of the Dragon Father. A possibility is to work within the disrupted politics for our advantage.

Rayven has taken the dagger back and realizes he should visit the Jade Lord for blessings of gear. We consider our options and decide to visit The Temple of Servitude Undying. Teleporting straight into his inner chambers.

Ray explains what happened to the Jade Lord and he gets stabbed in the leg critically by him. He decides to give up the petty limitations of flesh and pursue a better third leg to replace his stubby one.

Rayven shows off his pets to the Pokemon lord and they both love his menagerie.

Finally, the Jade Lord decides to give his own personal pet, Rayven, insanely good armor which is nutty and OP to hopefully put him on par with the hero which is clearly what the “Jade Lord” is trying to do.

Ike wishes to find anti scrying technology and we visit some shops

Croaks visited my temple…

Session 109

Date: 5th of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 56,777, 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

We head off on the ship to Cryxia. On the way we see an unmanned boat and decide to head towards it. Ike and Sinsear took the lead to scout it out, but as they approached, the boat suddenly rose into the air, revealing itself to be part of a much larger, looming threat. A massive behemoth known as the Troll Sea King, easily over 100 feet tall, emerged from the depths of the ocean.

The beast immediately turned its fury on our ship, launching a devastating tidal wave that battered both the vessel and the party. Despite the onslaught, Ike charged in, landing powerful blows on the creature, while Shadow used his magic to disorient and confuse the Sea King’s mind, disrupting its attacks. Our ship’s cannons fired, landing solid hits, but the creature retaliated fiercely.

In a single, devastating move, the Sea King attempted to crush Ike with its colossal hands. But Ike, undeterred, activated his Quivering Palm technique, followed by a flurry of other strikes, causing the creature to stagger and bleed. It was clearly injured, but still far from defeated. The Sea King gripped Ike in its massive hand, tightening its grip.

Sinsear swiftly intervened, using his skill to rescue Ike from the giant’s grasp and lift him high above the creature’s head. Rayven seized the opportunity, using his shadow stride to vanish and reappear behind the Sea King, landing two deadly backstabs that brought the beast to its knees.

Nerion, finally emerging from his hiding spot, attempted to damage the creature before retreating once more. With the Sea King on the brink of collapse, Sinsear—the Hero—took command of the ship’s cannons, unleashing a final barrage that struck the giant down, ending its reign of terror.

After the battle, Ike claimed the Heart of the Sea King, a powerful artifact from the beast’s core, and we looted seven legendary reagents from the fallen creature’s remains.

Session 110

Date: 14th of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 56,777, 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

The ship has been sent to port for repairs. A set of sending stones is aquired for the ship.
The chest obtained from the Brine King’s boat armor was unsealed and contained:

The party teleports back to the Temple of Undying Servitude. A desolater hitched a ride and was summarily obliterated. An unknown amount of parts were harvested.

The TRUE Ultimate hero Rayven heads to Dieter for his new JadeBarkShottyLeg. Dieter is nauseated by the amount of blood involved, but the procedure goes well. The leg is attached in the correct place and it functions as expected. Dieter even added a few extras.

The time for the ritual has arrived.
All the beautiful people are in attendance, including a passel of Myrkulites.
Ike places the Brine King’s heart on the alter, followed by a pair of specially prepared knuckle dusters.
Ike called to Myrkul, asking that the boon promised be delievered.
An avatar of Myrkul appears and decends to the alter.
Ike does some grovelling to our God and Myrkul is pleased. The regular lights go out and green necrotic looking beams light the torches in the room.
In a haze of purple light the avatar wills the heart and the knuckles into one, and behold…
Upon the alter rest Necrolucent and Cimmerian!

At this point, Leo-tard is so overwhelmed by the majesty of Myrkul, he cuts his own throat in supplication, hoping his sacrifice with mean something to The Lord of Bones. Wishing to help him achieve his desire, Ike punches him dead in the face. Somehow, this causes Leo to turn into a blob of protoplasm.
The avatar of Myrkul looks to the party to decide Leo’s fate. With some dissension, they decree he will become an Emissary of Myrkul. His duties and standing are yet to be determined.

The assembled crowd is awed by the spectacle. 23 of the attending Myrkulites are converted into Zealots. The claim that within a month they will have over 100 (123) new followers for Myrkul.

During the after party, we are informed that Thorne has some new items for trade:

Session 111

Date: 14th of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 56,777, 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

We start the session having just teleported using the ring. We see several large orbs of viscous liquid holding… something inside of them. Shadow casts a silence spell, allowing Ike and Nerion to break one open. Inside, we find a golem, and after some trial, and some necessary spells from Shadow to control the liquid, Nerion is able to use some of his blood to bind the golem to his will.

Shadow then uses the liquid to seal off one of the entraceways while we figure out what to do.

Then we notice some creatures on the other side of the ice. As the group gets ready to fight. Ray and Ike line up on either side of the hallway with readied actions.

Ike gets his shot off and its a crit, dealing heavy damage. Ray then gets ANOTHER crit, dealing INSANE damage to this poor creature, obliterating it.

Below is an image of what Ray looked like dealing damage with this dagger:

Nerion then shanks the other creature in a mockery of Rays massive dagger crit.

After we finish up the combat, Strangle appears and closes the portal we entered through, locking himself in with us. Ray then kills a ton of other people.

The groups thoughts

The session ends with us engaged with Strangle, steadily whittling him down. We end the session at the start of Sinsears turn.

Turn order

Session 112

Date: 14th of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 56,777, 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

Sinsear opened his psychic assault with a Dagger of the Mind on Strangle. Despite the attempt, Strangle resisted so Sinsear turned to amplify Rayven, hoping for another critical hit. Meanwhile, Shadow picked up the shattered glass from the earlier chaos and animated the shards, sending them hurtling at Strangle.

Nerion targeted Strangle’s physical prowess with a potent Weakness spell, on top of his standard Bleed. The cracks of thunder rang through the room with each cast. He then commanded Dumnar to attack, though his spear throw missed the mark. The party prepared for incoming reinforcements as Infernals, cultists, and a creature akin to the Psycher Ike had fought in Devon’s Lair entered the fray. Luckily, Ray’s Plague Burst obliterated the cultists with its toxic effects.

Strangle, seeing his forces dwindling, broke open a flask to unleash a Corrupted Barbarian. Pivoting to the group, Strangle declared, “Eeenie, meenie, miney—YOU!” before lunging at Ray. In his weakened state, two of Strangle’s strikes missed, and Ray’s Night Armor retaliated against the third. Ray charged up for a backstab as Ike drew Strangle’s attention, landing a series of brutal strikes. Strangle, heavily injured, erupted in a violent burst of tendrils, knocking back Ike and Ray while shielding himself with orbs of blood.

Sinsear, betting on the Corrupted Barbarian’s lack of wit, incapacitated it with a psychic attack, leaving it running aimlessly. Shadow followed with a magical hold to pin it down. As Strangle attacked Rayven’s prone form with a tentacle, Nerion refreshed his Weaken and desperately tried to direct Dumnar to hold the door and stomp when multiple enemies were near. After several progressively dumbed down instructions, Dumnar finally understood.

However, Dumnar’s form abruptly vanished. Sinsear deduced that he was banished to the corn maze, but there was no solution beyond killing the caster. Meanwhile, the Benefactor, targeted Nerion’s brain with a psychic squeeze. Thanks to his successive Bleeds, Nerion retained the integrity of his skull.

Strangle attempted a desperate escape, trying to burrow into the ground. Ike refused to let him flee, grabbing hold of him and shouting, “No, you fucking don’t!” Strangle’s retaliatory attacks barely scratched Ike. Seizing the moment, Ray swiftly incapacitated the Corrupted Barbarian, noticing something familiar about it as he moved to finish Strangle. Continuing his streak of uncanny precision, Ray stabbed Strangle in the back of the head, splattering his skull against Ike’s waiting fists. As Strangle’s body disintegrated, Ike quickly harvested infernal components before they dissolved.

With Strangle down, the party had only to take out the rest of the trash. Sinsear hurled a Psychic Dagger at the Lamenter, neutralizing it, while Shadow’s Fireball left the Lamenters and the Benefactor, attempting to shelter around the corner, smelling of crispy bacon. Nerion turned immaterial to evade a swing from the Lamenter and unleashed another bleed attack on a Soul Priest. Meanwhile, Dumnar continued to struggle in the cornfield dimension…

Strangle’s lingering energy surged to the nearby portal, activating it ominously. A Lamenter closed in on Shadow, paralyzing him with its blight despite his attempt to slip the blow. A Soul Priest, horrified at Strangle’s death, released the Rat King by destroying the last flask with a Flamestrike from just within range.

As the battle raged, the party could sense victory at hand. However, the question remained: what is waiting beyond the reactivated portal?

Session 114

28th of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 66,679 (money modified for last loot and thrall), 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

The group decided to return to Garlghast, using Ike’s ring to transport them. Meanwhile, their boat had been steadily making its way towards Strangle’s stronghold, finding a secluded bay where the crew could indulge in their usual sailor activities. The group, now gathered and ready, used the portal to head to the King of Pain. Leading the way was Dumnnar, with Ike, Nerion, Rayven, Sinsear, and Whosdad following close behind.

As the portal opened, they emerged to find themselves face-to-face with a couple of Scythers and a trio of Cryx Warjacks, each guarded by their handlers. The sight of these formidable foes was enough to rattle Nerion a little, and he could be seen nervously glancing around. Despite his hesitation, Ike wasted no time in jumping into action, quickly taking down one of the Scythers with his lightning-fast movements. Nerion, despite his best efforts, couldn’t quite finish off his target, though he did land a few hits. Rayven, staying calm in the chaos, used his magic to bog down several enemies, halting their movement for a short while.

Sinsear, ever the versatile caster, did something impressive, though his spell didn’t quite land the damage he had hoped for. Regardless, Whosdad’s moment to shine came when he unleashed a fiery fireball, incinerating a group of enemies and turning the tide in their favor. The fight was intense, with the enemies putting up a strong fight, but it was clear the momentum was shifting towards the heroes. Ike continued to weave through the battlefield, dealing swift and deadly strikes, cutting down a dozen or more minions before moving on to the next.

As the battle raged on, the heroes began to press their advantage. With each passing moment, the enemies were whittled down until only the Warjacks and a few minions remained. By the end of the fight, the enemy forces were mostly wiped out, with the last Warjack and a handful of minions left to deal with. The group had emerged victorious, having taken little damage and dealing massive amounts in return. With the battlefield now mostly cleared, the group turned their attention to the final few enemies, preparing to finish what they had started.

Session 115

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 66,679 (money modified for last loot and thrall), 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

The fight goes on…

The last Warjack had plans for a BBQ with the party as the main course. The damage wasn’t as horrible as the Warjack intended.
Some minions take pot shots at Ike and inflicted minor hits. They tried to shoot Rayven but he conjured his Dark Shield and avoided the bullets.
Ike parkours up the battlements and does some Jackie Chan on a passel of minions before bashing his staff through another ones skull.
Rayven used Black Caress to flank the Warjack, then gave it a Savage Blowing, rendering it into scrap.
Several of our party took time to extinguish themselves.
Seeing Ike coming their way, many of the minions scatter. 9 shoot at Ike and scored a few hits. Rayven also took a single hit. Sinsear laughed at the lone shot aimed at him that just bounced off.
Nerion being bloody heroic, cast a Bleed spell on a minion, killing it in a satisfactory manner. He also healed the crispy Dumnar at the same time.
Ike does Ike and killed more minions, while Sinsear put some healing on Shadow.
Being cautious, Shadow cast an Arcane Lock on the nearby guardhouse, in case there might be unwelcome surprises inside.
A bunch of minions, seeing Ike headed their way, shoot frantically at him but miss badly due to the horror that is Ike.
Proving their fears reliable, Ike positioned himself to strategically use the Poot of the Dragonfather, handily killing a group of minions.
The rest of the party advanced towards the castle like structure. Several of the party come under fire from the last few minions, but it’s ineffective.
What does Ike do? You know what Ike does. More minions die. Ike grabbed one of the last remaining minions to be used as a sacrifice for Nerion’s next Bleed spell. Nerion exterminated the minion and healed himself and Moldy Boldy.
The party continued to advance to the castle. Sinsear used a mental stabbity to finish off the last minion in the courtyard.
The party is pleased as punch until the sky darkens and a meaty Meteor Swarm fell amongst them. Luckily Shadow had some magic hoobajoob that just absorbed almost the entire spell. Aside from Dumnar, who gets a little pancaked by a rock.
Nerion is the first to reach the castle door and opened it, revealing a creature that laughed at us, then ran away down the corridor.
We all follow behind Nerion (yes yes, he went first. Miracles happen). Nerion came to the first side door, opened it, and found himself a boom boom lackey. It proceeded to try and blow itself up but was pushed back into the closet before detonation.
Ike went on overdrive and sidled past everyone to peek around the corner the creature had rounded. He glimpsed what we think is the Big Bad of the area, Suffer. Ike gives chase, but triggers the inevitable trap that has been laid out for us. Suffer ran up the stairs at the end of the hall.
Rayven cast an Umbra Bog to the opposite side of the hall so our flank was defended, then the party moved down the corridor, springing traps that could have been avoided if they let a certain person with high investigation go first. Live and learn.
A couple of doors revealed more explodey minions, but they were quickly dispatched.
Ike is persuaded that the best course of action is to break the ceiling rather than risk more traps, so he did a mighty keeee-yaaaa, and broke himself an opening and popped his head up through the hole…
Into the room with the Arcane Cannoneers. They were unhappy with the remodeling, and expressed their displeasure by shooting Ike in the face with their cannons.
Thankfully Ike is made of stern stuff and survived the shots, retaliating on one of the Cannoneers.
Nerion rinsed and repeated his signature move, Bleed and heal.
Rayven pulls some spiderman moves and wallcrawls up the level and encountered Suffer. Rayven nailed him with a Savage Blow.
Suffer yanks his chain, wrapping it around Rayven in a non-consensual way. The chain began to get hotter, making Rayven slightly nervous.
Sinsear felt bad for Ike being shot in the face, so he graced Ike with some heally stuff.
Now we await the silliness Suffer has in store for us…

Possible turn order:
Event timer, Dumnar, Cannoneer 1, Cannoneer 2, Curator, PsIke, Suffer, NerryBerry, RayRay, Sinple, Shady, Moldy Boldy

Session 116

After several system errors, the session begins. Most of us are cramped still in the hallway with Ray above next to Suffer. The Cannoneer’s succumbing to fear, pull out the sawed-off magic missile shotgun (designs below for deter)

Ike then flys up and start doing well… Ike things…

Suffer than bring out the absolute pain and knocks Ray unconscious. Nerion finally braves the heat and comes upstairs and heals him. Combat continues. Whosdad finally makes his way upstairs behind Sinsear, both causing chaos upon entering the theatre of combat.

Suffer then summons brains near Whosdad and Ike. The first one misses Whosdad, the second begins to climb Ike, after he somehow lost the grapple rolls

More combat ensues. Ike and Nerion blinkbitch out of existence.

Sinsear blamboozles the boss. Whosdad disintegrates a brain. Suffer tries to chain attack Whosdad and he dodges out of the way using “NOT TODAY BITCH”. This however does not help Whosdad, as he gets beaten into the ground anyway.

Sinsear then shows mercy and heals Whosdad, who gets beaten again. Thankfully Sinsear casts Fortify and Whosdad is immune to fire.

At the end of the session, Suffer summons 8 brainbitches, but Ike is able to Wisdom save them into paralysis.

Session 117

28th of Solesh

In the Bag (accurate at the end of the session): 66,679 (money modified for last loot and thrall), 8200 Bank Note, 5 Concordance (15,926G in Ike’s Monastery, 10gp in Rayven’s pocket).

Nerion senses someone big and strong breaking past Dumnar at the door. Dumnar tries to stop him, but his strength is insufficient, and his slowed speed isn’t enough to keep up. A wave of fear washes over Nerion from Dumnar.

Ike peeks down the hole and sees Noiren has returned, who calmly says, “It’ll be fine, don’t worry about it.” Ike shrugs, climbs back up, and hurls poisoned darts at Suffer. However, Suffer dodges the darts effortlessly. Suffer then counters, just managing to clip Ike.

Nerion takes damage from the heat of the Infernal Fodder surrounding him. He retaliates by bleeding Suffer and then repositions. Sinsear focuses his mind and conjures a Gravitational Collapse around Suffer, who resists due to his legendary status.

Rayven casts Night Cyclone in the center of the room, restraining both the Infernal Fodder and Suffer in a vortex of lightning and wind. Meanwhile, Noiren steps into the middle of the room and opens an Infernal portal.

The Curator finally reappears, preparing to cast a powerful spell. Shadow attempts to counterspell, and while the Curator tries to retaliate with his own counter, it fails. Noiren, however, succeeds in countering Shadow’s move. The Curator’s spell completes, and a duplicate of Ike’s corpse appears. Nevyar grabs the duplicate and throws it through the portal.

Ike runs up and peers through the portal and sees the real Noiren on the other side, holding the corpse. He dashes through, seizes the corpse, and declares, “This belongs to me,” while surrounded by frozen lands and rune-covered stones. Ripping the corpse from Noiren’s grasp, Ike shifts to the Ethereal Plane with Empty Body and returns through the portal.

An enraged Nevyar demands retribution, while Noiren asks who they want to kill in revenge. Each of Noiren’s heads advocates for killing their respective counterparts.

Suffer breaks free from Rayven’s Night Cyclone and knocks out Shadow, throwing him through the portal before returning in the apparent hope to placate Noiren. Nerion hastes himself, dashing through the portal to retrieve Shadow. Noiren tries to stop him using Hold Person, but Nerion’s Freedom of Movement nullifies the effect. Nerion escapes and retreats to the ground floor.

Reasnis casts Invisibility on himself and vanishes. Rayven then shoots the Curator before retreating. His Night Cyclone continues to rage, blasting Suffer with lightning. Sinsear attempts to strike Suffer with a psychic bolt, but even focusing on his enhanced precision, Suffer resists. Sinsear then retreats downstairs.

Frustrated by the party’s retreat, Suffer summons more soldiers, who fire at Rayven. The Curator targets Rayven but accidentally kills one of the soldiers, triggering their vests to explode around Rayven.

Noiren, still invisible, approaches Rayven and bashes him to the ground but fails to knock him out. Just then, the real Noiren steps through the portal, determined to finish what he started. He begins smashing through the floor, aiming to reach the group.

Three more Infernal Fodder appear, attacking Rayven and bringing him to unconsciousness. Fake Noiren follows up by smashing Rayven’s skull. Dana’s doll attempts to resurrect Rayven, but he chooses not to accept the power.

The real Nevyar attempts to crush Shadow and succeeds, but unlike Rayven, Shadow accepts Dana’s power instead. Her small, warm embrace revitalizes him with incredible strength. The Curator descends and tries to restrain Shadow with Hold Person, but Shadow counterspells it, breaking free once more.

With the battle descending so quickly into chaos, the party weighs its options: try to survive a retreat, or fight for glory and for an end to this god forsaken distraction from Myrkul’s plans.
