The battle continutes!
The crew of the enemy ship, the Feruvian Reaver, scrambled to defend their vessel. Two crewmen fired wildly at Sinsear, but the bullets veered off course, deflected by an invisible force. Rayven, with a grim smile, unleashed his Umbral Flame. Dark fire engulfed two enemy warcasters, leaving charred corpses in its wake.
With a roar, George swooped down, his breath a torrent of searing flame. The warjack melted under the onslaught, two gunmen perished instantly, and a mage barely survived, his robes smoking.
Nerion, eyes glinting with malice, cast a Blood Bolt. The crimson projectile found its mark, felling a Cryxian gunman. Rayven stepped forward, threatening the remaining enemies with a cold glare that made their blood run cold, causing their shots to go wide.
Shadow muttered arcane words and cast St. Elmo’s Lightning Ball of Ouch, sending arcs of electricity through the enemy ranks. The Captain of the Feruvian Reaver attempted to counterattack, but Shadow’s shield spell absorbed the blow.
Ike moved with preternatural speed into a cluster of the enemy crew, channeling the Gifts of the Dragon Father. His strike caused a thunderous explosion, though many crew members escaped thanks to the Captain’s swift actions.
Sinsear unleashed a telekinetic burst, killing another crewman. With a flick of his wrist, he hurled Rayven forward. A gunman fired at Rayven, but the bullet barely grazed him. Another shot at Ike but missed entirely. The Seether warjack attacked Ike, its strikes clumsy and ineffective.
A mage fired a Magic Missile gun at Ike and cast a gravity spell on Shadow, sending the wizard into the sea with a splash. Angrily, Rayven released his Umbral Fog, a noxious cloud that choked the crewmen, and then obliterated the warjack with a Savage Blow.
George descended upon the Captain, but his claws skidded off the man’s armor. Nerion teleported to the Captain’s side, and began cursing his lineage. The Captain staggered, momentarily stunned, while three gunmen opened fire on Nerion, their bullets merely scratching his armor.
The last gunman aimed at Sinsear, who laughed as the bullet bounced harmlessly away. Shadow reappeared, stepping through a dimensional door.
With a shout, the Captain of the Feruvian Reaver launched a devastating attack on George, wounding the dragon critically. Ike turned to a nearby mage, delivering a rapid series of pimp slaps and demanding payment in a mocking tone.
Sinsear’s mind dagger struck another mage, while gunfire erupted around them. George, weakened but determined, swiped at the Captain before retreating to the shadow realm.
Nerion, his vitality draining, attempted another curse. Though he failed, his physical attack stunned the Captain, forcing him into a defensive stance. In a final act of desperation, a gunman fired at Sinsear, who effortlessly deflected the shot. Meanwhile Ike caught another bullet in mid-air, hurling it back to kill its owner.
Shadow stepped forward, his voice echoing with power. “Yield, or face oblivion,” he intoned. When the Captain sneered in response, Shadow uttered a single, terrible word. The Captain’s eyes widened in shock before he crumpled to the deck, lifeless.
The remaining crewmen, seeing their leader fall, dropped their weapons in surrender. Myrkul’s finest had won the day, the battle on the high seas a testament to their formidable power and unbreakable bond.
(Yes, ChatGPT was involved. Blame Rayven)
The remaining topside crew:
O’Shawn the mage
1 other mage, 1 warcaster, 2 gunmen
The big bad ship is a Blackship Frigate previously called The Feruvian Reaver, but has been renamed to The Herbicide
The 30 crew below decks will serve us as long as they get profit and we remain strong enough to command their respect.
The casualties from our original crew will bolster our ghost crew.
We begin repairs to the Weedkiller in order to make sail for a neutral port close by.
