Notes:

We spent 65 gp to teleport to Gadgetzan.We are meeting Ak’jash at the bathhouse in Gadgetzan. Ray has small talk with Ak’Jash and Vol’Jin. We have an in depth conversation about who we killed and we discuss heading towards the docks to set out for the mana crystals. We then ask about the Arathi Highlands and they said there was a spike in energy months ago. We ask about slaves but get no info in return. Spinnok Durav Wynnstars account was closed by an unknown source. Stakk and Kris go to the alchemist and buy 2 uncommon and 1 common health potions for 500 gp. We ask about rumours from Ak’Jash and Vol’Jin and they come out with nothing yet again. We head to the docks as a group then we get into contact with Elder Doom Bloodgrave, we ask him every question under the sun and he tells us that one of the leylines has been tapped in Arathi Highlands and he will get back with us. We leave the dock and follow the mana trail leading us south and slightly west in southern Tenaris to get to Uldum taking a 3 day journey on kodo’s and camel’s costing us 80 gp. At 10 o’clock of the 3rd day we see a massive pillar of light ascend into the sky (Aka the 14th of Shadowmoon). About an hour later. Blood quack is on ray and Kris readies earthen shield and seek readies his spell. Bunches of empty crates, dead bodies, and an encampment of the scarlet crusaders. As we get closer we see tons of scarlet crusaders dead bodies as if their life has been sucked out of them while they were relaxing. Stakk casts speak with the dead and comes up with the conclusion that they sacrificed themselves for the end of the world. I ready bless on me, stakk, ray, and seek. We walk down the stairs into a mystery tunnel in the back of the tomb.

We fight Guldan and Doom Lord Kazzak and so far into the fight we take a bunch of damage.

We open after the party has fallen back down from the ceiling.
VanRay charges forward to GulDan caving his chest in with his hammer. He crumples to the floor dead, with his death the eyes of GulDan dissolve into the ground and the energy of lair ebbs away. Ray picks up Spinnock’s prone form and throws him at Doom Lord Kazzak. Kazzak’s temper explodes encasing all of the party but Ak’Jash in fire.
Ak’Jash attacks Dom Lord Kazzak in the face with sunlight, he recasts leaving Kazzak blind and critical and with a reflectively psychically damaging totem.
Vol’Jin drags Guldan’s corpse away from Kazzak. Van Ray walks over Spinnock and rages against Kazzak, Kazzak appears to gets a second wind in the form of a burst of fire. Stakk reflects back some of the damage killing Kazzak.

As the final boss dies the magic holding the doors shut fades and as we heal our wounded, two dark Alliance elves walk into the room. Ray hears the echo’s of Lady in Red as Tyrande Whisperwind followed by her handmaiden enter. VanRay ineffectually gives into his bardic instincts. Vol’Jin is unimpressed with their late arrival and thoroughly chides their timing to steal the thunder and the honor of the triumph, all while maintaining the nuance and vernacular of the hoodoo of the Loa.

Doom Lord Kazzak is dead but Guldan’s manages to make a dying action channeling energy through a talisman, opening a portal in the center of the room pushing the entire party to the edges of the room as a fiery torso enters into the room. As Tyrande sees the torso appear into the room she calls down the Blessing of the Moon Goddess allowing the entire party to recover.

Sargeras kills Guldan in disgust of his “failure”. Accusing the Myrkulites of betrayal and vaporizing the elven handmaiden, combat begins.

Based on Vol’Jin’s spell work, Sargeras is not Immune or Resistant to Poison, Fire or Necrotic, but he is immune to being Proned Grappled or Poisoned.
Ray rages against the floating torso. The lair emits a psychic, draining attack. And Kris attempts to Fireball Sargeras.

Ray manages to cast battleshout on everyone but Nalthar.
The group continues to muddle through a layer filled with psychic, blinding and silencing effects.

We continue the fight against the top half of Sargeras. Seek goes super saiyan after Ray buffs him hard enough to cause a hotfix. Kris and Voljin drop massive heals on us saving us from certain death, still we get knocked unconscious multiple times but emerge victorious as Stakk delivers the killing blow.

Tirande uses moonwell water to close the portal which causes a magical needle to drop which Stakk loots. We also loot a magical weapon and the Skull of Gul’dun. We get ported back to Katabasis and distribute the loot. We hear about a possible war in Ashenvale between the horde and alliance. We stay the 6 days to finish Lukus’s void storage.

Gold Transactions:
Collect 5,400 gold for the bases’ profit generation since we left.
Remove 750 for an Arcane Workshop

Vol’Jin’s and Nalthar wind up staying at Katabasis Garrison for several days.
During the down time:

  • Seek gathers herbs
  • Lukas works on his Void Storage Device, that is expected to be completed and ready for Steamwheel negotiations at the end of the rest period.
  • Stakk works on poison crafting and converting the skull of Gul’dan to Murkel (channel Bob from the Dresden files as a secondary source of arcane information and chaos)
  • Ray spends a bit of time intoxicated with Vol’Jin’s and acting as a donor for Essence of Undeath
  • Kris crafts potions, flouting the need for sleep with coffee and chemical spite.

Midday on 19th (4 days into rest period, earliest ability to leave ~22nd of Shadowmoon)

Vol’Jin’s and Ak’jash are contacted with an urgent summons back to Orgrimmar. Kris intercepts the evacuating horde members long enough to get an update on what the summons involved. Luckily we didn’t need to read the note tucked like a single into Ray’s loincloth.

Thrall received a distress call from Lord Maxwell Tyrosis(LMT) at midnight of the 18->19th from the eastern Plaguelands. The necropolis in the eastern Plaguelands ruptured releasing a puissant invasion of the undead. There has been no contact with Light’s Hope including the commanding forces, and teleportation to the area has failed. As the Argent Dawn is is the epitome of neutral, this alert was also sent out to the Alliance as well as other factions of the Horde.
LMT – paladin at light hope chapel, overall leader of the Argent Dawn well respected neutral faction.

The closest teleportation circles to the afflicted areas are Chillwind Camp or Bulwark.

With great acclaim, Ray discovers his flask can dispense cocaine. He can roll to learn other drugs. Kris destroys a coffee cup against the wall of the base in rage at serendipity’s fuck up. She borrows some cocaine for her next pot of coffee and summons the rest of the group to update them on the situation.

Lucas completes his Void Storage Device!! On the 21st of Shadowmoon.


The group take most of the rest of the day to get the item to Ratchet via kodo cart and arrive at 7pm.
Lukas is able to walk into an appointment with Jios, the Logistics Master for the Steamwheel Cartel. He appears to charitably take the admonitions of the sleep deprived Kris in these mediations, although she seems rather unduly concerned with lethal pretense.

Terms Negotiated for Void Storage Devices with the Steamwheel Cartel:
All terms in perpetuity for Lukas, his estate and his representatives.

Group Housekeeping While in Ratchet:

Katabasis Garrison has a Void Storage Device with an established pocket dimension equipped with shelves/mannequins for armor and equipment storage, rations and an automatic water system.
Note: “the only thing you can’t do in a pocket dimension is grow things”…this means produce etc will stay fresh)

Ak’jash contacts Kris, with a request for the group to appear in Orgrimmar the following morning. Some of the Argent Dawn high command have reappeared and are fortifying Bulwark.

The group arrives in Orgrimmar via portal. Bulak, plump and glowing, greets Ray. The baby is due in 4 months(19th of Sunwa). The Horde has been coordinating the counter invasion of the undead army with the Alliance and the Argent Dawn.

Highlights of the campaign map: -DM to generate a battle map of the region.(see end for update)

The Necropolis is floating to the East of Strathload and just South of ZulaMashal (troll ruins in eastern Plaguelands).
Marked as strongholds: Hearthglen(the scarlet crusade camp) and the ruins of Anderhall, interestingly Scholomance is crossed off.

Per discussions with Thrall (the leader of the Horde) in Orgrimmar:
Tensions and enmity in Ashenvale have been set aside between the Horde and Alliance, in light of the current invasion. The Argent Dawn claimed espouse of both sides, hell has officially frozen over.
Due to the expansive occupation of the undead, the Western Plaguelands will need to be liberated before forces can even enter the Eastern Plaguelands.

With Tyrande’s remarks of acclaim, the Horde/Alliance/Argent Dawn would like to contract the party for strategic dismantling of the undead command structure with moral impunity, and licentious actions. They would like to take responsibility for the party’s maverick behavior with payment and supplies. We now have a sponsor, for this assignment. Should we choose to accept it.

Brigadier General Delnora and Captain Emkath have volunteered to meet us with their zeppelin at the Bulwark.

Contract for Coordinated Assault on Necropolis Army to destroy the undead command structure:

  • 75,000 per zone (2 zones)
  • The Horde will process potions overnight for us if we just give them the reagents
  • +1 plate armor (very ornate and embellished!), see image at end of notes

The group was given the teleportation codes for the Bulwark, the party is expected to contact Lord Maxwell on arrival for further information.

Before leaving Orgrimmar, the group will requisition from our magnanimous benefactors portal codes for Horde controlled areas as well as the allotment of 27 chamomile herbs…on pain of maleficent chaos caused on the behalf of the Skull of Gul’dan and myrkul’s chaos bunnies.

Highlights of the campaign map:

One thing that you will find out is that you cannot assault the bridge in the back until both of the other forts are taken down.
For all intents and purposes, there are two exits in the Western Plaguelands, The Bulwark and Chillwind Camp Additionally, there is a single, now heavily fortified, entrance into the Eastern Plaguelands. While some things we know of from the base game are definitely still there, there are new additions.

The party meets up with horde leadership and accepts a mission to recon and destroy troops and leaders.
Ray uses the time to his advantage to jump the wife’s bones. The party gets a port to the bulwark and joins some old aquaintances, *brig general Delnora and Capt Emkath are on the zeppelin and drop the party off on the west side of Amberhall.

The party advances fairly slowly and carefully and encounters a Skeletal Hulk and 2 nasty Skeletal Sharpshooters. While fighting said creatures the party realizes that there at least one lt or boss is viewing the fight through the hulks eyes.The party dispatches said mobs.
Side notes: whosdad has informed Lukas that if Gorath survives a boss fight being present throughout the fight within 100 ’ his abilities will improve.
side note: sadly Gorath does not survive so Lukas is forced to resummon him at the end of the battle

Notes: We walk South East and see another skeletal Hulk. We kill the skeletons. Seek steals copper rings off of a dead couple.We explore a house. Then Nalthar’s vast knowledge tells us we don’t know directions for shit. I dismounted to look through the rotten wood. We cast firebolt and bicker for 20 minutes. We see 2 Skeletal Hulks and assume there are more. (There was fuck tons of dice)

The reward for Gorath surviving a boss battle has been changed to something undisclosed.

We defeat the group that we were fighting at the end of the last session.

After the battle, we jump down a green glowing hole inside a building near us.

Lukas force feeds Ray old moldy cheese. Ray gets diarrhea.

Rays drinks poopy water and gets sick - will randomly vomit and will miss an attack (Shadows discretion)

We proceed down the tunnel. Ray finds chotent booze (cheap + potent). His flask memorizes it.
Lukas finds a cache of 500 gold and a chest with a sapphire and

Stakk is overly suspicious and blasts it

Both the note and sapphire are un damaged (note specifies that the the gem is very rare and requests payment. All names are faded.

We find a table full of old potions and other materials, lukas kisses a ray and he likes it.

We hear the sounds of battle

Damon commits to - at some point in the game, putting something - that if licked - will give some kind of boon. No time frame

Ray puts himself in the stockade and gets stuck

Lukas finds a bottle of lordaron mead.

Kris Firebolts the stockade to free Ray.

Kris preps a barrel of liquor and blood quack punches a hole into it. Seek grabs Vanray’s loincloth and shoves it into the barrel to act as a wick and lights it. Vanray hip checks it down the stairs damaging something and follows the barrel down a bit. It was a skeletal hulk which jumps at Kris but we all gang on and destroy it. We chased around a couple Deathmark Sharpshooters and take them out while they take pot shots at us. Seek gets some head which he shares with Vanray whom gives it to Kris. We kill the last Deathmark and get the last of some head.

We’re currently not in combat, but it got colder, maybe we should buff?

After the temperature noticeably drops by a few degrees. Ray licks Seek and slides a gold piece into his pocket.The group meanders along to follow the cold towards the center of the town to find the general.
The party finally finds Warlady Selendria, the Banshee general as the banshee wail hits the group.
The party kills the banshee! Leaving behind a very nice sapphire that needs to be appraised.
The fog over the area lifts and the undead armies in conflict with the Horde/Alliance armies degrade from organized battalions to unorganized groups of the undead. As the Zeppelin picks up the group for extraction the armies appear to have the battle against the undead well in hand.

The game ends as the group returns to the Bulwark and camp receives news of the conclusion of the battle.
The alliance moving on to their secondary eastern points of interest (preventing the undead from doubling back) before moving towards the blockade next to the eastern Plaguelands (location of the necropolis) .and the horde securing secondary points and expect to end up in Harthglen in the next 2 days.
• When sleep takes hold, it is no rest — the dreamer finds himself standing in a barren wasteland of bone and ash, the sky above black and starless. In the silence, a figure of impossible scale looms: the skeletal crown and shadowed visage of Myrkul himself, cloaked in endless night. His hollow eyes fix upon the dreamer, not with words, but with an oppressive weight that crushes thought and breath alike. The world cracks and reshapes as his gaze shifts.
• The barren plain becomes a ruined church, its stones bleached white by radiant fire. Within its shattered halls lies a tomb draped in banners of gold and blue, untouched by decay. Light pours endlessly from the sarcophagus at its center, searing, holy, and hostile — a power that should banish all who follow death. Yet the vision twists, and the dreamer sees a black shield of bone and shadow fall across the chamber, Myrkul’s hand laid over the tomb like a great shroud, protecting his chosen from the annihilating light.
• Finally, the sarcophagus opens in silence. No corpse lies within, but instead a scroll, pulsing like a heart, bound in ghostly chains of silver, with a horse pressed into the wax seal. The vision pulls closer, closer still, until the dreamer feels its light against his face, warm but suffocating, promising both judgment and reward. As the image burns into him, the vision collapses into nothing but blackness. The impression is clear — venture to the tomb, endure the Light, and claim the boon that awaits.

Myrkul appears to be urging you towards Uther’s tomb. He would need to Convince Brigadier General Delnora and Captain Emkath and the party to go to the tomb. The zeppelin will be required to get to the tomb and back in time.
Nalthar manages to convince Lord Maxwell to allow the group to take a few days of leave to go to the tomb. Lord Maxwell does caution us not to damage the tomb, as this is one of the most well respected clerics of the Argent Dawn.

The group leaves the sapphires with a jewel crafter before heading to the tomb. (roll next session)

Having received a holy quest from myrkul the party has received permission to travel to Uther Lightbringers tomb. Arriving safely the party is greeted by a ghostly keeper who grants the party access to further explore the interior.

The party meanders to and fro examining the edifice . Nalthar spots a large chest and approaches it only to sucked into a portal that has been triggered .

Throwing caution to the wind the party leaps in after him ! Transported to some sort of inner sanctum the group explores further and comes across the shade of Uther Lightbringer .

After a discussion and a brief tirade from Nighthour a battle ensues . Uther sommons aid in the form of a paladin and 3 squires .

As the party engages and deals with his minions Uther is dealt a critical wound . Upon this happening Uther summons an impervious shield and begins a devastating Area of Effect spell

Myrkul guides his faithful to an area of the room his protection will be strongest. after some tactical moves the party reaches said area and readies to resume battle !

Notes: Seek gives Kris a suppository potion (uncommon) to pick her back up. Swords fall from the sky again shattering another barrier made by Myrkul. The swords knock kris out again. Ray windmills his nude genitals making the 2 paladins face bright red. Ray shoves his +1 pecker into a paladin’s face, killing him. Nalthar dies killing Uther like a true paladin.
Damon notes potion of the grave works for 50 health.

Kris brings Lukas back to consciousness. We find an uncut very rare sapphire and a rare one. We also find a scroll with the horse seal from Lukas’ dream. We leave the tomb unharmed and exit.

Lukas reads the scroll as soon as he is back with Gorash. Finds a schematic for a harness of some sort. The rest will take some time to decipher.

We return to the bulwark on the 24th of Shadowmoon and give a detailed report of what happened. Kris was sure to mention that we didn’t damage anything.

The party resumes our exploration of Hearthglen, working our way toward the cathedral to find the general, we are in active combat. So far the obscuring fog is still present over the area, but so far the group has not come across any of the Skeletal Hulk that act as wandering eyes for the generals.

In the battle against the deathbound (2x Scarlet Crusaders and 1x scarlet Centurion) things are going well, an old voice from the past of VanRay cackles from the shadows. This character claims VanRay stole their gear, though he is not wearing it, and that there is no way that is a +1 penis.

An unholy smite attacks somewhere deeper in the shadows, from yet another Deathbound Scarlet Centurion.
And “the champion” reveals himself to be Herod, the Scarlet Champion, his neck still showing the stiches from having his head reattached. The large man knocks Ray out in a fit of jealousy, leaving Ray with a view of his new +2 undead penis.

Lukas, still mounted on gorath, manages to throw a healing potion onto Ray’s exposed penis via a periurethral bulking. Ray, and his penis are revived, w his penis very very revived with convalescence induced priapism.

Herod uses a roar of rage throwing back all of the party. The group continues in battle getting ground down quickly by Herod, but manages to dispatch several of the other combatants. The group gets a final heal but appears to be barely treading water against the revenge driven Herod. (Kris’s character moves one square back after the heal)

Resuming battle against the newly undead Herod the party is successful against him and his minions thanks to a Molten Pact delivered by our resident murderhobo Stakk, A small search of the area reveals 500 Gp and a diamond that needs appraising.

As the party progresses further on they are beset by hounds and their Master and a grand melee ensues ! Thats all she wrote folks !!!

Stakk got hit with the dm special and took 9 quintillion damage from space rabbis. Ray does a whirlwind and cuts through one of the hell hounds’ heads vertically after missing his beloved brother. Stakk then disappears into the ground and from the distance we see a shadowy figure on the building making bird signs. Nick fired the bullet and it electrocuted the dog so badly it caused the hell hound to shit all over ray (Execution number 69). Nick shot the hell hound with an electric bullet that arced to the boss. Nick runs up to Houndmaster Loksey shoves the rays pecker pounder up his ass, puts the gun to the back of his head and fires, then takes it out and rubs it across rays lips. On the body we find a ruby and take his head. Cathedral is somewhere south east

Notes:
The party has just completed killing the 3 hellhounds and their handler, all part of the undead army. The alarm bells sounds through the fog, from the East by South East. The group hears hurried clanking of armor all around through the fog, but not in immediate area. In a panic the group drags the hell hounds/handler into the house on their South, with prestidigitation to the blood for the area. Note: argent dawn gave us communication rings, the enemy spells are restricting all portal/circle traffic out of the town.

The group contact Argent Dawn, the group cannot be transported out unless they can get back to the original portal in the house on the South West Corner of the map. The group attempts to hug the wall and work their way back to the smugglers portal. Yavo and Van Ray take point trying to pick a safe route. They encounter several close calls with patrols.

The group agrees to use Gorath with a spell of daylight to provide a distraction to the gate guards to allow the group to get to the building with the portal. Although the wizard grabs Gorath with hold monster, Nalthar responds with blink moving the still paralyzed Gorath farther away. Kris dimensional door’s Seek and herself to the basement portal (the slowest members of the group). The rest of the group continues to work their way to the building, attracting a bit of attention from other members of the enemy. Ray and Yavo are barely scraping by to get to the building. A giant beam of cold/death magic beams into the sky from the cathedral. The group makes it by the skin of their teeth through the portal to safety.

Lord Maxwell Tyrosus is unimpressed with our failure and orders us to rest. We head to the bar.

Yavo pays a bartender 10 gold to urinate into a mug. The bartender agrees. Vanray drinks it without hesitation and belches. Spinnock reports that we encountered necrotic and frost pillars that induce a frenzy when heard.

Kris has the gems appraised and cut for 275 gold.
She also spends 3 gold on her date.

Garrish offers an additional 5,000 gold on top of the original 10,000 if we return. We accept and pocket the bonus. While scouting the area again, we spot Sky Galleons and massed troop reinforcements around Hearthglen. We regroup in the command tent.

We’re asked to attack the Sky Galleons. We agree—returning the 5,000 gold bonus in exchange for ownership of a Zeppelin after the battle (minus its cannons).

The battle erupts into a major aerial dogfight. Ships fall on both sides. We manage to bring several down while keeping our own vessel airborne. We close on the lead ship under heavy cannon fire, but its shots ricochet harmlessly off a magical shield.
