1. Why do you want to join UDL? (Minimum: 1 paragraph) I saw Conquerors Blade and followed development, and then saw an advertisement for this group on the reddit. I've always enjoyed team based games, and with a group this long standing, I figured perhaps I could find some kinship and friends to play with here. I also quite like the humor displayed by the poster, a fellow by the tag "u/barricuda", in the advertising thread. Seemed like a fun fellow. 2. What is your character name, and what does it mean to you? Count Long is actually simply a title I hold for another game that is being developed (Chronicles of Elyria), and my last name. I find low tier nobility rather suited to my preferences, as while I am a capable leader, and have even been through military leadership training recently, I am a man of the earth, and not comfortable in high leadership roles, instead having more natural suitability to leading people on foot in a close knit unit. 3. How did you find out about our guild? Do you have a member of UDL who can vouch for you? A reddit post by one "u/barricuda". 4. When do you usually play? Are there days/times when you are consistently unavailable? What country/timezone do you live in? Currently I am on night shifts and will likely be playing at night on my days off between 7pm and 7am, as well as some daylight hours between shifts or if I pull a 24hr marathon sprint for some reason. 5. Describe your past MMO experiences. What is your guild history? I'll be honest, I've not played too many MMOs. I've done trials and such, but many failed to hold my attention and interest. I've never been in a proper guild. 6. Tell us a little about yourself. Age? Likes and dislikes? Anything at all you'd like to share. Here is your chance to set yourself apart from other applicants. (Minimum: 1 paragraph) 22 y/o male, active duty air force. I like to help people by playing support to them and hate people who dont want to excel. Comfort and mediocre expectations lead to disappointment and failure. I'll do my best to encourage and support people above and below. I'm the guy who spends a ton of time crafting for my team, running with a med kit, calling in airstrikes, giving covering fire. I'm a medic IRL so I suppose that's fitting. 7. What is your preferred play style? PvP, crafting, gathering, or any combination of these? I love playing crafting and support. Mining and the smithing process are a particular love of mine in things like final fantasy online, where I'd give out free gear sets to noobs because I enjoyed seeing them put it on and immediately freak out above the stat bumps and go on to do more. It's fun to me. Also nice when they say thanks but it's more about the twinkle in their virtual eye and the unspoken thanks. I also like playing pvp support, though this goes anywhere from tank to healer. I like protecting people, and I also like picking them up when they cant be protected. I like being the shield as well as the medic. Nothing feels better than knowing you're a solid rung in the ladder your team climbed to victory, at least to me. Both on and off the field, it's all about being part of a team and giving all my comrades an inch or two lead above the rabble. What excites you the most about the game you are applying for? The idea of making permanent marks on the world and improving an army as you fight against other people's armies. Feels like a good chance for some damn good team play. 9. Based on the document you were directed to read, "Being an Undead Lord", which is your strongest pillar? Which is your weakest? Strongest for me is probably loyalty. It's something I've not gotten a lot of in life so I place it at a high premium. If a group accepts my help and treats me like a human being I'll likely be a hanger on for life. I'll do my best to boost my team no matter their position. As long as my team is on top, my personal status is unimportant. My weakest is likely honor. I am not a regal person, I can even be quite slovenly to the casual eye. I may not be impressive, and some may not hold me in high regard. I can be given to taking cheap shots to guarantee a victory and emotion holds little away in my action. The word snake has been applied to me in several situations. However these actions are always for the good of my peers and side overall, even if it reflects poorly on my personal character.
